Taken in Time Value (TV) mode on Canon EOS 700D using Shutter priority AE mode spee set at 1/30 second. They have NOT been edited. To freeze the subject, Use a faster speed such at 1/4000 or 1/5000.

Exposure (Light)
RAW versus JPG
Many cameras allow saving in RAW format. This is similar to a roll of undeveloped film. The lighting becomes fixed after developing using exposure in a dark room. RAW format allows the photographer to edit the lighting (the white areas in a photo); whereas, JPG format is fixed and only the Brightness, Saturation, and Tone are adjustable.
